What is Stockholm Pride?

Stockholm Pride is a recurring festival that brings together residents, visitors, organizations, and the business community around openness, love, and human rights. The festival is both a public celebration and a platform for important conversations, culture, visibility, and engagement across the entire city. During the 2026 edition, parts of the program will move to the Slakthusområdet area – a growing district that will become a new meeting hub for Pride celebrations.

Stockholm as a host city

When Stockholm Pride takes place, it’s felt throughout the entire city. Rainbow flags, activities, and people on the move create an open and welcoming atmosphere. For businesses and organizations in Stockholm, it’s an opportunity to be part of a collective sense of hospitality and to strengthen the image of Stockholm as an inclusive city where everyone should feel welcome.

The Parade – a citywide celebration

When Stockholm Pride Parade makes its way through central Stockholm, it becomes a vibrant display of love, freedom, and everyone’s right to be themselves. The parade is one of the festival’s most visible highlights and attracts large crowds. Stockholm Pride describes it as the largest in Scandinavia, with around 50,000 people in attendance.
