Stockholm recorded a historically strong year for its visitor industry in 2025, with nearly 16 million commercial guest nights in Stockholm County – the highest number on record. This is shown by new preliminary figures from the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth, compiled by Stockholm Business Region.
The total volume amounted to 15.97 million guest nights, representing an increase of 4 per cent compared to 2024. This development was primarily driven by strong international demand, with particularly high growth during the final months of the year.
The result is a clear testament to Stockholm's increased appeal as an international destination for both leisure and business travellers. The visitor industry plays a vital role in the region's employment, business community, and attractiveness for investment and corporate establishments.
